Expert in regulatory toxicology and safety assessment of ingredients and final products.
She has a degree in Chemistry with a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Campinas-UNICAMP, with solid professional experience developed in the area of Research and Development in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, such as Eli Lilly (USA) and Natura. She has excellent skills in chemical analysis of plant extracts, using equipment such as HPLC, MALDI-TOF MS, and 1H-NMR. Obtained qualification in Safety Assessment of Cosmetics and Dermo-cosmetics in Brussels, at Vrije Universiteit. She carried out training abroad at companies such as EpiSkin-France and Biacore in the United States on alternative methods to animal testing.
Simone Fanan has been working for over 30 years in R&D and in vitro testing of the efficacy and safety of chemical substances and mixtures. She was Scientific Director and founding partner of a private laboratory for carrying out non-clinical tests TRIDSKIN (a company in the Investiga Group), member of the board of ABC (Brazilian Cosmetology Association), and a member of the European association for in vitro testing ESTIV. She was Executive Director and Founder of the Brazilian Society of Alternative Methods for Animal Experiments (SBMAlt). Recently, she served as R&D Specialist, focusing on exports at AQIA Química Industrial. Its extensive experience in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, in addition to expertise in in vitro toxicology, makes it possible to carry out metabolic profile analyzes and risk assessment (Safety Assessment) with very high quality and assertiveness.
Today she is Scientific Director and founder of SF Safety, Consulting & Innovation and is a member of the Cosmetics Technical Committees (CTCOS) of the São Paulo Regional Chemistry Council (CRQ-IV).
